Patience & Joy

Where should you go in Iceland when the days are this short? The forecast might look promising, but 4–5 hours of daylight doesn’t exactly make it easy to travel between places—let alone cross regions. And where is the best weather in Iceland right now? Nowhere in particular, or perhaps everywhere at once. The smartest move is to head straight to the Icelandic Meteorological Office website, vedur.is, and plan out a day or two ahead. Then just set off—east, north, or west, wherever the mood takes you.

Here are some images of Iceland, captured during this very season—pictures we cherish. This is a beautiful but challenging time to truly enjoy and experience our country, whether you’re a visitor or a local.
