Elding Adventure at Sea Is a family-owned company and the first to offer whale watching from Reykjavík. Over the years we have increased our service into other adventures at sea. Now we also offer Sea Angling, Puffin Watching, the ferry to Viðey Island, Imagine Peace Tours, Northern Lights Cruises and various exclusive and incentive tours.
The tours we offer are wildlife excursions and as a result each tour is unique. Our naturalist guides provide entertaining and valuable information about the wildlife on the scenery on the tours. Our boats are comfortable and stable, renovated with passenger comfort in mind. They are equipped with restrooms, on board café and indoor saloons. Elding passengers get free entry to the Whale Watching Centre, a multimedia showroom, café and shop in the old harbour.
We are committed to provide high quality tours in a way that minimizes the environmental impact caused by our activities while allowing visitors to enjoy nature. Our focus is to continue to implement our environmental policy and to develop research projects on board. Elding is EarthCheck certified and Elding boats carry the Blue Flag. In 2008 we received the Environmental Award of the Icelandic Tourist Board and in 2012 VAKINN Environmental Class Gold as well as the status of a Certified Travel Service.

You’ll find us conveniently located in Reykjavík’s old harbour, no more than a 5-minute walk from the downtown Tourist Information Centre. We also offer pickup from hotels and guesthouses in the capital area for a small charge.
Tickets are available through our online booking system and our ticket office in the old harbour before the tours.
