Hótel Aldan of Seyðisfjörður consists of three old but extensively renovated houses two of which are located by the little pond in the heart of this quaint old town in the norwegian Schweitzer-style. Each house encompasses 9 rooms and a dining room as well. Aldan restaurant has also been renovated and has got a new name; “Nordic” and is now focusing even more on local Icelandic ingredients, mostly from the Eastern fjords.
The third one, dating from the late 19th. century, was used as banking premises for decades but has been renovated all while respecting traditional values. The house has 7 double romms and 2 triple rooms. Most rooms have space for additional bed and one room can accommodate a group of six. Flexible design makes it possible to combine some of the rooms to form a “suite” or family rooms for 4 to 6 persons.
Next summer we will have 22 hotel rooms and two apartments that can accommodate up to 6 persons each. The apartments are situated in a building that housed the first school in town only a minutes’ walk from the main hotel building. As we are a small and active hotel we are unfortunately not able to block book our hotel during summer.
