The Icelandic Handcrafts Association will visit the museum this Sunday. Members of the associations will display various kinds of handicrafts for visitors, e.g. how to make shoes out of fish skin and the delicate work that goes into making the national costume for women. During the summer months, staff wear period costumes, and domestic animals bite fresh grass around the museum site.Admission is free for children 17 years and younger.
Árbær Open Air Museum is open daily in the summer from 10:00 – 17:00.
