Travellers enjoying the view at Kleifarvatn

Spring is in the air at Reykjanes

It is such a short drive, and extremely beautiful to get out to Reykjanes from the capital. Especially at this time of year when fewer people are on the roads, and nature is coming to life after the dark and long winter. It takes almost two hours to drive from Reykjavík to Þorlákshöfn, through Kleifarvatn and back again. A beautiful route, which took Icelandic Times / Land & History much longer, because there was so much to see and experience, since spring was in the air. Here are some samples.
