In South Iceland, countless waterfalls, lakes, and the endless South Coast draw visitors from near and far. This region is the part of Iceland that most travelers explore first. The reasons are straightforward: the nature is incredibly diverse, it’s a short drive from Keflavík International Airport and Reykjavík, and there’s a wide range of excellent accommodation options to suit every budget. And, of course, those unique waterfalls and lakes—as these images beautifully show.
