Geómetría

Geómetría is the name of the recently opened exhibition at Gerðarsafn in Kópavogur. A beautiful, exciting and well-organized exhibition featuring 22 artists who were working from the middle of the last century in experimentalism and progressive ideas about the nature and possibilities of art. Geometry was not an isolated art division, but a new attitude and expression in the contemporary world. The exhibition clearly shows how art flows beyond the frame, and sculptures, textiles and visual works become a unified and unusual exhibition. The curators are Brynja Sveinsdóttir and Cecilie Gaihede, the exhibition design was in the hands of Hreinn Bernhardsson and Arnar Freyr Guðmundsson. The advisor was Ólafur Kvaran. The exhibition runs until January next year.
