The French Museum – Pêcheurs Français en Islande

In memory of the French fishermen in Iceland. French fishermen fished in
Icelandic waters for over three centuries. The French writer, Pierre Loti, enshrined their memories in his novel “Pêcheurs d’ Islande”. Fáskrúðsfjörður used to be the base of the French fishermen and they played an important role in the history of the area.

A visit to the French Museum is an absolute must!
