Litla Gallerý – Tvíeyki

Rebekka Atla Ragnarsdóttir – Tvíeyki
28. September – 1. October 2023

The exhibition Tvíeyki deals with opposites and symmetries. What do they have in common and what separates them? Does beauty lie in contrast or in symmetry? How different do these two sides have to be to be considered two?

Tvíeyki is a love letter to opposites and their attraction, like two magnets that can not help but collide, or bubbles rising from the water and inevitably unite at the finish line. Or two individuals who find each other in a sea of people and fall in love.

Rebekka Atla Ragnarsdóttir (b. 1980) graduated from the Polytechnic College in Ármúla in 2002 with matriculation in languages. She completed postgraduate studies with a focus on acting at the Icelandic Film Academy in 2013 and BA studies in art theory and art history at the University of Iceland in 2017.

She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in creative writing at the University of Iceland. She has worked in a variety of professions in the arts, including as an actor, director, acting coach, set designer, and as an artist. Last winter, the book “Best fyrir” was published, which contains two short stories by her.

Exhibition opening will be on Thursday, September 28, 18:00-20:00 and everyone is welcome.
