Standing over the harbor, Hotel Egilsen is set in a newly converted historic house in the heart of Stykkisholmur. The small hotel preserves its classic heritage while enhancing it with the best of modern design. Providing intimate lodging, healthy kitchen, small library, honesty bar and possibly the best beds in the world.

The guest lounge: is the heartbeat of the place, traditional hospitality with intimate lounge, healthy kitchen, local literature and good times.

The rooms: small but very bright and comfortable, with overhead power shower, iPad, and Coco Mat beds.

Kitchen: every morning Greta´s famous homemade healthy breakfast is offered with fresh organic eggs from local farmers.

During lunch each day we serve our own soup made with spices from Greta´s garden and sandwiches made with homemade bread, best available seasonal ingredients and mozzarella cheese.

Around 3 o´clock warm waffles or blueberry pies are served with ice-cream from the local farm Erpsstaðir.

For dinner a constantly changing menu is served with locally sourced meats, often cooked by local gourmets.
