Hotel Hallormsstadur

Hotel Hallormsstaður is ideally situated in the green of Iceland´s largest forest. It encompasses four different kinds of accommodation:

The main building – including the reception, dining rooms, a bar and a full-view veranda, is situated by the elementary school, offering 55 double bedrooms, all of which have private bathrooms. Across the parking lot from the hotel is a swimming pool which is open during the summer.

The guesthouse “Grái hundurinn” is situated a few paces away,  in the vicinity of  The Household school. The ground level has undergone total reconstruction, making it ideal for a guesthouse. The “Gray Hound” has room for 10 persons in 6 bedrooms. Four double rooms – one of which has a private bathroom – two single and three double rooms which share 2 bathrooms.

The Summer hotel, based in the traditional splendour of the 1929 “Household school”, offers the atmosphere of the old times and romance.
Just beside it, our guests have the option of privacy and woodland quiet while staying in our four modern and comfortable cottages. Each cottage is furnished with a queen size bed, furniture and a small bathroom .

The Hotel Hallormsstaður is constantly improving in order to serve its guests on a whole-year basis. Several improvements are currently under way.
