Library of Water

Library of Water

The Library of water is an installation art piece by Roni Horn consisting of huge glass tubes with water collected from different glaciers all around Iceland. The art piece is found in the old library in Stykkishólmur.

The building has a fantastic view of the town and Breiðafjörður bay. When the sun shines through the big windows, it paints the floor with light reflections, illuminating the Icelandic and English words embedded on the floor, all about the weather inside and outside.
