The Hellisheiði plant is 20 minutes away from Reykjavik and has a state-of-the-art geothermal energy exhibition of how to harness geothermal energy with multimedia shows in English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese.

Experienced guides takes care of the guests while teaching about sustainable green energy as a global energy resource. There is also a café with refreshments in the area.,
