Rjúpa Guesthouse is located on a small hill in Fnjóskadalur in north Iceland, facing the largest natural birch wood in Iceland, Vaglaskógur. A location like no other, with stunning nature just stones throw away.

Rjúpa is the Icelandic name of Ptarmigan and the area around the guesthouse has a very big, healthy population of them. A bird that changes to white during winter and is the Christmas dish for many Icelanders.
