How to find?
Hestheimar is by road no. 281, 3 km off road 1. Only 50 minutes drive from Reykjavík. The Hestheimar´s buildings are visible from the main road.
From Selfoss: Leave Selfoss heading to Hella on road no. 1. Stay on for around 23 km. Turn left on road no. 281, flags and signs by the road. Stay on for around 3 km, there you will find the farm Hestheimar.
Staying at Hestheimar offers a variety of family-friendly activivites, such as riding, hiking, bicyckling , enjoying the company of the farm animals: horses, dogs and cats, often kittens.
Booking now ! 2 week long riding courses for kids summer 2016 !We only offer 2 week long riding courses for kids each summer and they are always both fully booked ! This year they will take place in June 12th-17th 2016 and June 19th-24th 2016. Each riding course costs: 59.000 ISK per person. Included is: Full board, accommodation in sleeping bag accommodation, riding lessons, horse, saddlery, helmet, riding tours, games, disco, 2 trips to swimming pools close to Hestheimar and more…. These riding courses are always fully booked, so do not hesitate to book now ! Students are from 8-12 years old and come from all over the world.
