Nánd in Icelandic can mean nearness, intimacy or vicinity. In the exhibition the artist explores the blurred line between the distant; were our dreams dwell, the world of fairy tales, desires and hopes and that which is gone, and then that which is near, the space we dwell in, our home, life in the garden, the life in the fish tank in the living room, the earth under our feet. From photographs that the artist took of her surroundings she created dreamlike colleges that express the desire for the distant, that which cannot be touched, and perhaps it is in this college of the near and the distant the artist finds intimacy.
