The Women’s Run will be held for the sixth time on Viðey Island Saturday 13th. The island is a per¬fect place to exercise and enjoy the nature all at once. The runn¬ing paths are soft under your feet, the mar¬ine air is crispy clean, birds are sing¬ing and the view is beautiful – and all this in just a few minu¬tes sail away from Reykjavik!
You can sign up for the run at Skarfabakki, which is where the ferry sails from. Adults pay 2500 kr. for participation (which inclu¬des a nice t-shirt and a medallion and the ferry). Children under 13 years of age pay 1500 kr.
The ferry sails from Skarfabakki at 10:15 and we’ll start runn¬ing on the beautiful green island around10:45 after a quick warm up.
The cof¬fee house at Viðeyjarstofa will be open with delicious food and pastries.
