Gísli Sigurjón Þráinsson, restaurant manager, says that the Indian addition is another reflection of Gamla Kaupfélagið’s ambition to satisfy every customer. “We’re always looking for something new and exciting to keep things interesting and our customers seem to appreciate that,” says Gísli.

But for those looking for a more unique culinary experience, our lobster dishes never fail to satisfy,” says Gísli.
Gamla Kaupfélagið is located in a spacious house that was formerly a general store, providing each customer with an experience to suit their personal taste. After 10 o’clock on the weekends, the restaurant changes to a bar, where the friendly locals tend to gather after the working week. – VAG
