Kurl & kram

Erna Óðinsdóttir is a tailor by profession, who graduated from IR (Industrial school of Reykjavík) in spring 2002 and finalised her industrial masters degree during winter 2004 (from same school). Ever since her young childhood Erna has been fascinated by the icelandic wool and began knitting young at age. Later on she started experimenting with wool and elaborating on its potentials when processed in new and different ways.

Kurlproject trademark was registered in spring 2008. The aim is to have one Kurlproject collection designed each year and to promote the products during autumn. Kurlproject is an attempt to satisfy the designer‘s lifelong passion for the icelandic wool and to expand its utility by combining the wool with other materials who are well suited for daily wear. Noteable is the interaction between coarse and more delicate materials; raw coarseness used together with more glamourous and shimmering fabrics. Circles are close to the desingers heart as well as various patterns and forms from the icelandic nature.

Kurlproject goal is to design classic but at the same time unique clothing which fits well alone or event better together with other Kurlproject clothing and which can be worn at different occasions. Elegant wearing for everyday and fancy occasions. Comfortable clothing which makes you feel good – always.
