Hotel Smyrlabjörg – South Iceland

Smyrlabjörg has been around since 1850. A farm of six generations.  Now it’s still a working farm but they also have a hotel there, Hotel Smyrlabjörg. A spacious hotel on south Iceland, close to all the great attractions in south Iceland like Vatnajökull National park, Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and all the big waterfalls of south Iceland like Skógarfoss, Seljalandsfoss, and the well-hidden Gljúfráfoss.

At the restaurant, they only use their own lamb, potatoes, beef, and eggs. The seafood they get directly from Höfn who is famous for their fantastic lobster.

Enjoy the local activities too like exploring caves, glacier hiking, and snowmobiling.
