Hotel Bláfell is a small romantic hotel in the village of Breiðdalsvík, located by road no. 1 between Skaftafell national park and Mývatn lake.
The hotel has 46 rooms including standard, family and deluxe rooms all of which have private bathroom, TV & phone. A welcoming restaurant takes pride in offering a local foods menu, served in traditional ways.
The hotel offers luxorious central location in a scenic region. The coastal village of Breiðdalsvík offers spectacular maritime views, all while surrounded by the peaks and cliffs of one of Icelands most beautiful mountain ranges.
The Breiðidalur area is known for its suave climate and numerous walking paths are to be found in the vicinity. Rock-collecting amongst the beautiful hyalite formations in the south of the valley is a tempting option – or fishing in one of 3 nearby rivers.
Afterwards, the sauna presents the perfect relaxation – only to round off the evening by the fireplace in the hotel sitting room. A short walk to the nearby swimming pool – equipped with a tempting hot tub – is also an option.
