The blessed light

The blessed light

After working as a photographer for 39 years, I have no idea what makes a good photograph. You either learn it or not. But one thing I do know for sure is that the twilight in Iceland is the most beautiful at this time of year. You get the northern lights as a bonus after dark after a colourful sunset if you are lucky. There is no magic to this picture, except to be in the right place at the right time… with a good tripod. The lens is 35mm on an FF machine, the exposure time was 3.2 sec, the aperture F4.5, ISO was set to 100. It could not be simpler.

Holtsós under the Eyjafjöll mountains. A fantastic place that never looks the same.
