Closer & closer

Gullfoss, Geysir, Garðabær in Gullbringusýsla are places we know, have photographed, or seen pictures of. But how can we take better pictures, bring better memories home. Of course, there is no answer to this million dollar question. But one thing is certain. Get closer to your subject, whether it’s a waterfall or a mountain. I am not talking about having an expensive camera and a zoom lens. In many places, it is possible to take only one or two steps forward, and frame nature more tightly. Take out things that don’t matter, like a telephone pole or a pile of sand that don’t belong in the picture. Here are some samples of photos where the closeness, the proximity makes the picture.
