In 1949 the company started selling Icelandic designs and woolens, especially to meet the needs of those wanting to buy gifts for friends and relatives abroad. Rammagerðin/Iceland Gift Store emphasizes greatly on cooperating with craftspeople and designers from all over the country. Over 100 women handknit for the company on a regular basis, as the Icelandic wool is the anchor of our business along with products made from Icelandic materials that refer to our history and cultural heritage.
