Bernard Alligand

Gallerí Fold invites you to an exhibition opening of works by the French artist Bernard Alligand.

In collaboration with L’ESTAMPE gallery in Strasbourg, France, Gallery Fold presents works from the French artist Bernard Alligand (1953). Alligand is an artist of material, light and movement. Bernard Alligand has always worked on the material, not only to draw from it the substance of his work, but also to know what possibilities it could offer him. The artist utilizes different types of media, however, engraving has always been a constant in his work.

In the beginning, the artist worked on graphics and later sculpting and engraving. After meeting Henri Goetz, he was introduced to Carborundum engraving. Since 2018, he has devoted himself more and more to works inspired by the nature of Iceland, a place he regularly visits. For decades, he has held numerous exhibitions in France and abroad.

The exhibition opens on March 2 and runs until March 27, 2024.

Gallerí Fold is located at Rauðarárstígur 14 Reykjavík
