The Icelandic Seal Center

The Icelandic Seal Center

The Icelandic Seal Center main missions are to promote seal research, responsible seal watching and contribute to the development of sustainable seal watching locations on Vatnsnes peninsula in cooperation with the local tourism board and the NORCE (Northern Coastal Experience) program.

The museum is an entertaining, informative and fun experience for both kids and adults. Our latest attraction is an interactive screen display showing the movements of five juvenile grey seals that were caught and marked with GPS trackers by Seal Center Research staff.
