In the middle of the town

Was planning on going somewhere completely different at lunch. Saw Tjörnin mirrored upside down, rushed home to get the right lens, and the whole time on the way I thought; the moment will be gone. It wasn’t. The icing on Tjörnin held, it had not melted. But the meeting, which was supposed to be at noon, was postponed for three hours. At Reykjavíkurtjörn, in the summer about fifty species of birds make their home in and around Tjörnin, including seven species of ducks. Now in the winter darkness, in the middle of winter, there are swans, occasional ducks, geese and a number of seagulls that live there in this special water in the middle of the city center.
