Hrafnseyri

Hrafnseyri

Hrafnseyri is a very old farm in the Westfjords where Jón Sigurðsson was born, the spearhead for the independence of Iceland. The museum dedicated to his work and the church next door is always open for visitors.

In the old rebuilt turf house you can buy refreshments while exploring the area. The area has easy access for wheelchairs and makes a great stop on your drive around Westfjords.
